Business History

Kumar Metal Industries Pvt Ltd (KMIPL) initiated business under the headship of Mr. Onkarnath R. Manaktala way back in 1939. From humble beginnings as a small family venture, the company flourished manifold in its domain, securing strong market visibility over the years.

Today, KMIPL can effectively handle and execute turnkey projects in Oil Mill Machinery, Vertical Steam Boiler, Solvent Extraction Plants & Oil Refineries. Our plants are designed by experts to handle different types of oil seeds and oil, such as, sunflower, peanuts, canola, soya bean, cottonseed, copra & palm kernel.

Mr. Sudhir Manaktala - Chief Executive Officer:

Mr. Sudhir Manaktala is a graduate with rich work experience of over 37 years in manufacturing, marketing, finance, industrial relations, etc. He steers the overall responsibility for management of the organization.

Mr. Sunil Manaktala - Managing Director:

Mr. Sunil Manaktala is a commerce graduate with over 32 years of work experience in diverse areas of planning, quality up-gradation, expanding markets, and system  management.

Mr. Aditya Manaktala - Executive Director:

An M.B.A. having to his credit almost 8 years of work experience in the factory on different production aspects. Also well-versed with customer relationship management.

Mr Rishabh Manaktala - Corporate Director:

Mr Rishabh Manaktala is a BBA (Entrepreneurship and International Business from the premiere Temple University, Philadelphia, USA). Mr. Manaktala has expertise in multiple fields related to management, business development, & corporate strategy. He has worked with Crown Iron Works, USA and was handling the organizations Joint Venture operations in India. At present, he discharges various responsibilities related to systems up-gradation, operations, and core team development.

Mr. Akshaya Manaktala -  Process Engineer:

Mr. Akshaya Manaktala has a B.Sc. degree  In Industrial and Systems Engineering from the OHIO State University, U.S.A. He is qualified in Six Sigma and lean Production Systems. Has served as a process Quality Engineer for Rolls Royce Energy systems Inc. Currently, he is handling various responsibilities related to process improvement, opportunities and Streamlining Operations.

Mr. Devraj Arora - General Manager:

B.E. Mechanical with over 40 years of work experience in various aspects of manufacturing. He has expertise in building screw presses since 1973. Mr. Devraj Arora today boasts of in-depth knowledge and experience in design of mechanical equipments, fabrication techniques, various codes, procedures for inspection testing, etc.  He also has unmatched knowledge of systems for latest manufacturing technologies.

Mr. Pravin Nehete - Sr. Vice President (Technical):

Mr. Pravin Nehete is a qualified Oil technologist from UDCT, Mumbai. He has more than 26 years' of work experience in Projects & Manufacturing. His core duties are Designing, Execution and Commissioning of various Edible Oil Plants. He also oversees equipment production, process planning inventory, documentation of various projects, their Quality control and evaluation etc.

Mr. Pramod Kharge - Quality Control Manager:

An Electrical Engineer having 23 years of total work experience (6 years in production & 7 years in Quality Control) in heavy engineering fabrication. He handles various QC related activities, and also maintains coordination with Third Party Inspection Services.

Mr. Vijay Shangarpawar - Process & Commercial Executive:

An M. Sc. tech. Oil technologist from UDCT. Has over 35 years of work experience, with competence in designing & instrumentation of complete process of Oil Mill Machinery, Solvent Extraction Plant & Refinery.
